The Department of Civil Engineering accepted the first group of students in the Faculty of Engineering of Istinye University in the 2018-2019 academic year. In Civil Engineering undergraduate program, courses in the main axis are taught in the fields of structures, hydraulics, geotechnics and earthquake engineering as well as in the fields of transport, water resources and construction management.

Department of Civil Engineering aims to educate prospective civil engineers who will have an important role in meeting the infrastructural needs of our country today, as well as improving the infrastructure of all the developed countries. To this end, the Civil Engineering Programme is designed to educate engineers who are creative, researching, sensitive to the needs of the society, open to innovations, able to produce information on a global scale, and use the information in scientific and technological fields.

This degree will provide you with a sound understanding of civil engineering design and applications through a series of core and specialist modules in wide range of areas. During the program, students will learn how to address complex construction project problems, and learn through a combination of lectures, seminars and discussion groups, and benefit from the expertise of our academic staff as well as experienced practitioners from outside organisations.

This program is designed to equip students with the necessary knowladge on supporting structures of teeth and the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and conditions that affect them. The program teaches the students the essentials of the clinical periodontology by teching them thorough case assessment and record taking, risk factors and their management, appropriate treatment planning, non-surgical management of periodontal disease, flap design and suturing, surgical procedures including crown lengthening and more.
