Contacts with the world at large in the fields of international relations, economics, law and politics has increased the need for communication, and therefore for translation and interpretation. Our department aims to educate the students and equip them with necessary knowledge and skills to enable them to satify this need as well as the sectoral needs for qualified translators in the areas of law, economics, medicine, tourism and media. This rogram offers the high-level instruction, quality course content, and professional training you need to enter the field, certifying to potential employers that you have the bilingual proficiency, cultural understanding, theoretical knowledge and skill set they are looking for.

English Translation and Interpreting Due to the undeniable importance and necessity of being a multilingual translator in our curriculum, which consists of language courses, field courses and interdisciplinary courses in our department, a second foreign language course other than English is also included for 8 semesters. Our students will have the opportunity to experience the profession in a practical context with the compulsory internship they will do during the summer semesters, and they will take firm steps for their career after graduation.

Europe is a continent with a long and turbulent history of cultural, political and economic exchange. The Bachelor’s in European Studies provides you with an overview of the politics, economics and law of the European Union (EU), while also introducing you to Europe’s history, literature and culture. Taught in English, the programme offers a broad perspective crucial to making sense of the challenges facing Europe today. It equips you with the knowledge and skills to address contemporary European issues such as the Eurozone crisis, the challenges of multicultural societies, and the role of the EU in, for instance, its relations with post-socialist states. This program also requires you to do an extensive research towards the end.
