Technology and Innovation Management Track (Tech MBA) allows students to gain an MBA degree enriched by courses influenced by the needs of the digital age. The Technology and Innovation Management track was launched in 2015. The aim of this track is to prepare today’s professionals to become tomorrow’s leaders in technology management. The curriculum is designed to equip the students with the required knowledge and administrative and interpersonal skills to become proficient managers of large-scale and complex technical projects, engineering operations and organizations.

The Master of Science Program in Technology and Innovation Management (TIM) program requires a minimum of 30 credit hours of coursework and completion of a Term Project. This option requires a minimum of 15 credits of the course load from TIM coded courses; the remaining 15 credit course requirement can be completed by the courses listed below with advisor approval.

The four year programme incorporates the current, the traditional and the classical design practices in the profession. It is an interface between material and making that creates a challenging and dynamic environment. Patterns, weaves, knits, embroidery, embellishment and value addition through motifs, colours, materials, fashion trends and visual merchandising are some of the areas of textile design. The young textile designers are trained to face challenges pertaining to industry and economy, individual and society, techniques and technologies. The department trains the students to weave new ideas into industry or industry into their ideas, by making them work around a rigorous routine of industry based internship programmes.

Postgraduate students admitted to the courses may have already acquired cultural and creative experience in a range of disciplines and work contexts. Students are encouraged to exploit their knowledge and understanding of these experiences in contributing to their study, and the curriculum is designed to be flexible enough to accommodate this. Collaboration with other students or external organisations and individuals can be combined with teaching delivery through lectures, seminars, workshops and tutorials.

The aim of this program is to educate individuals who will fulfill the executive managerial positions of the tourism industry where dynamic and qualified individuals are needed in the sub-sectors of tourism such as accommodation, travel agencies, food and beverage companies.
