Economics

The Economics PhD is designed to train you to conduct research of high academic merit and to make important and original contributions to the subject. The Department of Economics enjoys an international reputation for research of the highest quality. Ultimately all doctoral researchers will have the ability to identify and pursue cutting edge research questions, characterise and solve economic problems using advanced mathematical tools, and test hypotheses using highly sophisticated statistical techniques. They should be able to derive policy implications from their research and communicate these to policy makers in a manner which is comprehensible. They will also be able to peer review others’ research and offer constructive criticism, and to extend the frontiers of the discipline through their own innovative research.

English Literature

Given the breadth and depth of our expertise, we are able to support students wishing to develop research projects in any field of Anglophone literary studies.

Business Administration

This PhD gives you the opportunity to explore issues at the frontier of research directly relevant to regional, national and global businesses. Today’s managers face dwindling consumer confidence, difficulties retaining talent and demand for greater social and environmental responsibility. We support you to create new insights and theories into the working world, in which your research could help leaders to navigate these challenges and shape theory, policy and practice in the fields of management studies and business analytics.

Media Studies

A PhD in Media Studies enables you to develop an in-depth research project. We will help you advance the discipline by empowering you to discover cutting-edge insights. With access to specialist supervision, excellent resources and a vibrant intellectual community, your time at Yeditepe will empower you to create innovative research that breaks boundaries and intervenes into urgent debates.

Plastic Arts and Painting

Prosthetic Dentistry

Doctoral in Prosthetic Dentistry is a full-time programme which enables you to develop, consolidate and enhance your range of academic and clinical competencies. This enables independent and reflective practice at the standard of a specialist in Prosthodontics. This degree builds on fundamental dental knowledge and is focused on advancing theoretical, research and clinical skills.

Restorative Dentistry

This Doctoral programme enhances students’ ability to provide high-quality and comprehensive restorative management for the majority of patients they see in general dental practice. (A modular flexible option may also be available to allow participants to complete the programme over 5 years).

Neuroscience

The programme will train non-clinical students to combine cutting-edge experimental technology (e.g. cellular, regenerative, computational, genetic, animal models) and analytical tools, with comprehensive knowledge of the clinical brain research environment. By doing so, it will equip students with the distinct skills required to bridge the knowledge gap between the design, execution and interpretation of cellular/animal experiments and the challenges of experimental medicine.
