This program is designed so that young professionals who wish to develop their knowledge, skills and competencies in the feilds of modeling, formulation, analysis and implementation of simulation for advane risk problems as well as skills for understanging these approaches in the broder context of engineering sciences.

The department’s mission is to help students acquire the necessary competencies for a critical analysis of human society and social life. Consistent with the University’s liberal educational philosophy, students will also develop valuable conceptual and analytic skills that they can use in many different settings upon graduation.

The Sociology Department conducts undergraduate education with a combined approach of social sciences and human sciences. The main goal of the 4-year program is to provide students with an education which explores the contemporary, scientific and global dynamics in the field of sociology.

The Bs Sociology Program aims to equip students with critical and analytical thinking skills, and research proficiencies. This program also aims to help students acquire social responsibility and develop scientific ethical values. The compulsory courses of our program that focus on the main sociological concepts, perspectives, and social research methods are accompanied by a wide range of departmental and non-departmental elective courses. The elective courses allow students to specialize in areas of their interest and help them develop an interdisciplinary perspective.

The basic purpose of introducing Bachelor of Science in Sociology program is to prepare students in the field of Sociology as per progressive requirements and challenges. The students graduating from this discipline will be able to acquire the necessary skills for understanding the multi-cultural views and aspects of the social world. The discipline of sociology is mainly concerned about social analysis. In a way, it provides an opportunity to deeply understand and analyze human societies and cultures under the umbrella of sociological perspectives. It also attempts to understand the evolutionary process of societies along with historical transformations. Discipline of Sociology has also paid premium attention to methods of research as contemporary sociology is more empirical and research oriented rather than theoretical. The BS Degree Program is explicitly aimed at preparing the students for advanced graduate study in Social Sciences and Social Science-based professions.
