Political Science and International Relations The Master's Program with Thesis is an open program for candidates who have graduated from different undergraduate programs. The Master's program in Political Science and International Relations trains students for postgraduate education in local, national, provincial and global policy worlds in state and non-governmental organizations.

Istanbul Medipol University Department of Political Science and Public Administration undergraduate program aims to provide basic concepts, theories, principles, and methods in various fields such as political science, management, public policy, and public law that enable the students to understand and analyze social and political problems.

The Political Science and Public Administration program at Işık University provides an ideal setting for students to study the world of politics under highly qualified faculty members, in the beautiful, natural environment of Şile. Students in this program learn about major concepts of political science such as power, authority, and legitimacy as well as the ideas of equality, freedom and justice. They analyze key political actors such as the state, government, political institutions, political parties, interest groups, and civil society organizations, and explore a range of political systems from democracies to authoritarian or theocratic systems.

The main aim of our department is to help our students to develop the ability to understand, question, criticize and analyze politics from a multitude of perspectives. The purpose of this program is to prepare students for posts in the public and private sectors and provide them fundamental understanding of how to manage public organizations, institutions and enterprises.

Political science is one of the oldest social science disciplines. It examines how people in societies organized into states live together and resolve or fail to resolve their conflicts. Politics is the art of influencing others as well as arriving at consensus.
