Global Health work focuses largely on health issues that go beyond the borders of nations. Health policies, health inequalities, gender inequalities, migration, violence, global climate crisis, urbanization, demographic change, pandemics, new and re-emerging infectious diseases, non-communicable diseases, etc. It brings together many different disciplines of subjects and requires an interdisciplinary approach.

With the Immunology PhD Program conducted by Koç University Graduate School of Health Sciences, it is aimed that students who will participate in this program will obtain detailed theoretical information about basic immunological mechanisms and use this information in the field of health. The aim of the program is to investigate the effect of immunological processes on the formation of diseases, especially cancer, and to develop a translational researcher perspective that addresses critical questions about treatment, and to conduct high-impact studies in this field.

In recent years this integration has become tighter due to the inclusion of information technology, and resulted in more complex systems. Industrial Engineering research focuses on quantitative analysis, synthesis and management of such complex systems. The affiliated faculty members come from the Industrial Engineering department of the College of Engineering, the Operations and Information Systems group of the College of Administrative Sciences and Economics, and other related fields.
