The candidates of Interior Architecture Master Program are required to make research in interior design practices and discourses. The main aim of the program is to conduct original researches into the problems of interior architecture through scientific analysis and to specialize in theoretical and practical knowledge while considering the contemporary discourses of the field.

The Interior Architecture Masters programme aims to develop the design capacity of students in interior and furniture design while taking into account cultural, technical and environmental factors. Students develop their abilities in a specific design area, obtain greater knowledge of scientific progress, and acquaintance with innovative approaches. In this direction, candidates, besides theoretical and cultural courses, increase their skills through workshops, seminars, practical work and attain a higher level of professional standing. This programme provides students with the required tools with which they can be competent and professional interior designers having outstanding creative capacity.

Interior Architecture is a growing discipline that requires its practitioners to produce functional and beautiful spaces that fulfill human expectations while incorporating innovative technology and sustainable perspectives. The interior architecture and design degree program prepares students for practice at a variety of design firms through a sequence of studio, lab, and lecture classes where they address the design of diversified typologies of interior environments in the commercial and residential sectors: hospitality, healthcare, retail, workspaces, community and public spaces, transit spaces, and exhibit and temporary spaces.

Department of Interior Architecture (English) aims to educate prospective interior architects who are creative and outstanding, and able to plan and detail their businesses in compliance with international standards, have the required professional practice, and improve themselves constantly.Students receive theoretical and practical courses at the Department of Interior Architecture. Besides, our students take the courses “Design Studio” and computer assisted courses at the same time as of the second year of their studies.

Interior architecture mostly covers the design of interior spaces of a building, but sometimes may include spaces that have no specific boundaries but are used for functions related to the human body and its immediate surroundings (exhibition stands, exhibition elements, bus stops, etc.). Interior architects are a group of designers aiming to improve the quality of life in interiors and working for public safety, comfort and well-being.
